The work of the Leishman Associates team has been recognised through numerous awards. Here are some of our latest.
MEA MEETING OF THE YEAR
Leishman Associates was last week announced as the state winner of the 2009 Meetings & Events Industry Award for Association or Government Meeting of the Year, for the Tertiary Education Management Conference ‘Investing for Success’. This is our fourth time winning the MEA Meeting of the Year (500 delegates and over) State award, which we hope will be converted into national success this year.
The Tertiary Education Management Conference is an annual conference that attracts over 500 delegates and brings together the Association of Tertiary Education Management (ATEM) and Tertiary Education Facilities Management Association (TEFMA) - on an annual basis. The conference is aimed at managers in the Tertiary Education sector.
The MEA Awards recognise excellent business practice in the Meetings & Events Industry. It encourages industry professionals to excel in the achievement of their business and personal goals, and reward those who achieve outstanding results
Leishman Associates, along with the other Tasmanian award winners will now go on to compete for the national Meetings and Events Industry awards to be held in Melbourne in April this year.
CHARITY EVENT OF THE YEAR
WINNERS: Leishman Associates (Choice Aggregation Services, Make a Wish Charity Auction), and National Breast Cancer Foundation (Global Illumination for Breast Cancer)
The Choice Aggregation Services 2008 Charity Dinner (Hogwart's Hall) has been named the e-connect Charity Event of the Year. This national award had a strong competition field with 10 finalists. Company director Paula Leishman was on hand to accept the award on behalf of the Leishman team.
It's our first National Award and we are very excited. The Award was judged by an independent panel and from the ten categories available, the Charity Event of the Year was the last one to be announced. In this category there were two winners, equal in the score we received, we are proud to share this award with the National Breast Cancer Pink Awareness Campaign. Given the high national profile of that event, we are incredibly pleased to share their company.
Thanks to Phenomenon Creative Event Services from Perth & Michael Bullock Productions - it was a great team effort and the results were outstanding
